In a rather unfortunate twist, I had downloaded and installed a Dj program that allowed me to sync my spotify playlists to it, and use them to mix live. It wasn't until I was driving around in the car (with my iMac at home turned completely off) that my spotify on my phone kept stopping. Finally spotify came back and said that it had stopped playing due to spotify being logged in on a different machine. My spotify login just happens to be through my Facebook account.
